Stosunki Międzynarodowe – International Relations transitions to open research publishing model, offering innovative open access publishing opportunities for International Relations researchers.
Together with F1000, part of Taylor & Francis Group, the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Political Science and International Relations has launched one of the world’s first open research publishing platforms in the field of International Relations by migrating their existing journal onto the new platform. The publication venue is now fully open access, and part of the move towards making research findings ever more accessible, usable and relevant.
Stosunki Międzynarodowe – International Relations has been a leading journal of international relations in Poland and Central Europe for almost 40 years. The scope and aims of Stosunki Międzynarodowe – International Relations will remain fundamentally unchanged, with its prestigious international Editorial and Advisory Boards and the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Political Science and International Relations continuing to set its strategic direction.
All articles published on Stosunki Międzynarodowe – International Relations will benefit from invited, transparent, post-publication peer review. In addition, F1000 endorses the FAIR Data Principles so authors will be able to share their underlying data, further accelerating the pace of discovery, providing credit and recognition for authors, and improving public trust in research.
Professor John Mearsheimer, Member, SM-IR International Advisory Board said:
“Embracing the trend towards open access publication, Stosunki Międzynarodowe – International Relations is moving into an exciting new phase of its evolution since 1982 as a leading journal of International Relations based in Poland. By partnering with Taylor and Francis through its innovative F1000 open research arm, Stosunki Międzynarodowe – International Relations will now offer scholars a more timely, accessible, and transparent publication model for sharing new research in International Relations with the world. As a longstanding member of the journal’s Advisory Board, I am excited for this next step in its efforts to promote critical engagement on key issues in International Relations between authors, reviewers and readers.”
Rebecca Lawrence, Managing Director, F1000 said:
“We are excited to work with the University of Warsaw to take Stosunki Międzynarodowe – International Relations to the next stage in its journey in supporting the international relations community in benefiting from open research practices. This publishing platform perfectly marries the longstanding heritage and reputation of this publication with F1000’s innovative publishing model, securing it’s future as one of the key publishing venues in International Relations.”
F1000’s technology enables authors within the International Relations community to rapidly and openly publish all of their research outputs. All researchers working globally in the field of International Relations are eligible to publish in this venue.
Stosunki Międzynarodowe – International Relations publishes original, peer reviewed articles encompassing a broad range of topics, theoretical approaches, methodologies and sub-disciplines in the scholarly field of international relations.
