BIOGRAPHY
Luigi Naldi was born in Chioggia near Venice, Italy, in 1954. He did classical studies in Bergamo and took a degree in industrial design in Milan in 1975. He graduated as a medical doctor at the University of Pavia in 1981. From 1984 to 1986 he was a junior investigator in the laboratory of Clinical Pharmacology of the Mario Negri Institute in Milan. In 1988 he moved to the clinical arena (dermatology) at the Department of Dermatology of the Bergamo General Hospital. He always considered the clinical setting as the "natural laboratory" for clinical research. Since 1986 he is coordinating a collaborative research group, in Italy, the Italian Group for Epidemiologic Research in Dermatology (GISED). He is a co-founder of the European Dermatoepidemiology Network (EDEN). In 2003, he established a research center at the Bergamo General Hospital, the Centro Studi GISED, with the aim of promoting clinical research programs in dermatology and promoting an evidence based approach to clinical questions.EVALUATIONS
