Dr. Leffell is engaged in collaborative research into the role of p53 suppressor gene with Dr. Douglas Brash of Therapeutic Radiology and into the genetic basis of basal cell nevus syndrome with Dr. Allen Bale of Human Genetics. He is also involved with an ongoing epidemiologic study of attitudes and effectiveness of skin cancer screening.
