BIOGRAPHY
Rebecca Schmidt is an Associate Faculty Member who works with Laurel Lenz to evaluate literature relevant to their research interests.Rebecca Schmidt also has responsibility for checking the contents of the following journals to ensure that the highest quality research relevant to their own interests within these publications is comprehensively and systematically evaluated for F1000:

- PLOS Pathogens
ACADEMIC POSITION:
Post-doctoral fellow in the lab of Laurel Lenz at National Jewish Health
EDUCATION:
She graduated with a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell biology.
AWARDS:
2011 F1000 Travel Grant Award
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Rebecca is interested in the role of innate immune activation. Rebecca studies the activation of the innate immune system in response to bacterial pathogenes, including Listeria monocytogenes.
