Dr. Benhamou is active in several professional societies including the European Society of Anesthesiologists, the Societe Francaises d'Anesthesie-Reanimation, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Benhamou has been nominated by the French Ministry of Health to serve on the National Committee of Experts on Maternal Mortality, by the French Food and Drug Agency to the Experts Group on Drugs in Pregnancy and is also an advisor for the French Blood Agency. Dr. Benhamou has served as an editorial board member and reviewer for several French and international journals. He has authored or coauthored over 250 articles published in peer-reviewed journals.
