RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Work in my lab is focused on two major topics:
1) mRNA degradation as a mechanism of translational control, and
2) biogenesis of the ribosomal subunits.
We use the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model organism to take advantage of multiple experimental approaches including genetics, genomics and proteomics, biochemistry and cell biology.
