BIOGRAPHY

Sissy Jhiang is Professor of Physiology and Cell Biology at OhioStateUniversity.Her research interests include molecular defects of Na+/I- symporter in thyroid cancers, the gene regulation of Na+/I- symporter; gene transfer of Na+/I- symporter for radioiodine therapy in human cancers, RET rearrangements in papillary thyroid carcinomas, RET mutations in multiple endocrine neoplasia type II, protein tyrosine kinase and thyroid cancers.She is on the Editorial Board of Thyroid and was awarded the 2002 American Thyroid Association Van Meter Award.
