Research interests: Dr Buzdar's research interests have centred on the treatment of breast cancer, focusing on defining and improving the short- and long-term benefits of systemic adjuvant therapies for breast cancer; endocrine therapies; biologic therapies.

Any other information: Dr Buzdar has received numerous honours and awards:- - Fellow of the American College of Physicians - Active member of American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) - Chairmanship of ATAC trial. This is the largest adjuvant trial in breast cancer evaluating the role of an aromatase inhibitor (anastrozole) - Author on over 400 published papers, invited articles, editorials, and book chapters Dr Buzdar is currently serving on several editorial boards and is Associate Editor for Clinical Cancer Research.
