BIOGRAPHY

Franco Mantero is Professor of Endocrinology and Medicine, Chairman of the Division of Endocrinology and Director of the Post-graduate School of Endocrinology and Metabolism of the PaduaUniversityHospital.
His major fields of interest are endocrine hypertension, adrenal tumors and pituitary disorders.
He has served on the Editorial Board of a number of international journals, including Steroids, Journal of Hypertension, Clinical Endocrinology, Journal of Endocrinology Investigations. He is at present, a Member of the Executive Committee of the International Society of Endocrinology. In 1992, Professor Mantero received the Special Award for Scientific Achievements from the Italian Society of Endocrinology.
