P Shing Ho - F1000 Faculty Member (since 11 July 2001)
Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO, USA
BIOGRAPHY
EDUCATION:BA (1979) Chemistry, Franklin & Marshall College
PhD (1984) Northwestern University, Dept. of Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology
ACS Postdoctoral Fellow (1984-87) w/Dr. Alexander Rich, Dept. of Biology, MIT
RESEARCH INTERESTS: The research interests in our laboratory have been focused on the structures and structural gymnastics of nucleic acids and their function, and, more recently, on controlling macromolecular structure and stability through halogen bonds for biomolecular engineering applications. To attack these problems, we apply X-ray crystallography, computational biology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics approaches
