BIOGRAPHY

EDUCATION:
Victor Curtis Baum, M.D. gained his A.B., Honours Program in Biology at the University of Rochester.

APPOINTMENTS:
A number of academic and hospital appointments including Clinical and Research Fellow in Pediatric Cardiology, Department of Pediatrics and the Cardiovascular Research Institute, University of California, San Francisco. Current hospital appointments include Director, Cardiac Anesthesia, University of Virginia Medical Center.

CERTIFICATION:
American Board of Pediatrics and the Sub-board of Pediatric Cardiology. Sub-board of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and the American Board of Anesthesiology.

AWARDS:
American Medical Association Goldberger Fellowship in Clinical Nutrition. Dillon Award (Outstanding Teaching by an Assistant Professor), Department of Anesthesiology, UCLA.

SOCIETIES:
Association of University Anesthesiologists. International Anesthesia Research society. American Society of Anesthesiologists, Subcommittee on Pediatric Anesthesia, 1994-1995.

Professor Baum is also a member on the Editorial Board of Seminars in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia and the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia.
