BIOGRAPHY

EDUCATION:
Dr Gorelick received his medical degree from the Cardinal Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola in 1977. He completed his Neurology Residency at Loyola and HINES VAH and then completed a fellowship in stroke under Louis Caplan MD, at Michael Reese Hospital as part of the University of Chicago Neurology Program in 1982.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr Gorelick has developed innovative studies for the identification of risk factors for stroke, prevention of first and recurrent stroke, and the elucidation of risk factors and mechanisms for vascular forms of cognitive impairment.
