BIOGRAPHY

Caroline Hyde-Price is the Executive Director of the World Council of Optometry, a global organisation for optometry professionals, their associations and institutions. The WCO is the first and only optometric organisation in official relations with the WHO and is a prominent supporter of the WHO/International Agency for Prevention of Blindness Global Initiative for the Elimination of Avoidable Blindness ¿ Vision 2020. Caroline has an honours degree in International Politics from Aberystwyth University, a Masters in Business Administration from the Open University and trained as a registered general nurse at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London. Previous posts have included senior NHS management positions, Head of International Affairs at the Royal College of Nursing and Head of the Health Protection Agency International Office.
