MEMBERSHIPS/EDITORIAL:
Dr Palevsky chairs the RPA Quality, Safety and Accountability Committee and is Vice-President of The Renal Network, Inc. He is deputy editor of the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, the Renal Failure editor for UpToDate and on the editorial boards of ACCP-SEEK/Critical Care Medicine, Journal of Intensive Care Medicine, and Blood Purification.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr Palevsky’s main research interests focus on the prevention and treatment of acute kidney injury and the management of renal replacement therapy in acute and chronic kidney disease. He is the Study Chairman of the VA/NIH Acute Renal Failure Trial Network Study which compared intensive to less-intensive management of renal replacement therapy in critically ill patients with acute kidney injury. Other areas of research include progression of CKD, management of symptoms in patients with CKD and ESRD and implementation of quality improvement in CKD and ESRD.
