BIOGRAPHY
CURRENT POSITIONS: Associate Professor, Department of Medicine, Harvard Medical School
Director Leukemia Program, Hematology, Massachusetts General Hospital
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
My research interests focus on novel therapies for leukemia and transplantation. A particular area of specialty is cord blood transplantation for those patients who do not have matched related or unrelated donors. We are currently performing sequential (double) cord blood transplantation in adults. Other areas of interest are in bloodless transplant approaches, and the use of parathyroid hormone to improve stem cell mobilization.
We are also investigating new treatments for myelodysplasia, with the use of thalidomide and bortezomib.
