BIOGRAPHY

ACADEMIC POSITION:
Professor in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases, Department of Internal Medicine, University of Florence

MEMBERSHIPS:
She is a member of a number of societies and on the Board of Directors of the International Conference on Calcium Regulating Hormones. She is the President of the European Association of Women for Women's Health and a council member for the Italian Society for Osteoporosis.

EDITORIAL ACTIVITIES:
Her Editorial Board memberships include Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolism Clinical and Experimental, the Journal of Endocrinological Investigation, Clinica delle Malattie dell' Osso, Bone, Calcified Tissue International, the Italian Journal of Mineral and Electrolyte Metabolism, Rivista Italiana di Biologia e Medicina.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Her research interests include basic science and clinical studies on metabolic bone disorders, parathyroid diseases, multiple endocrine neoplasia syndromes. She is also interested in bone cell biology, endocrine cell biology, and the genetics of metabolic and endocrine disorders.
