ACADEMIC POSITION:Director, Center for Genetic Diseases of the Skin and Hair at Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Mapping of genetic hair disease: androgenetic alopecia (AGA); alopecia areata (AA); monilethrix; atrichia with papular lesions; Naxos' disease, ectodermal dysplasia and woolly hair. Gene mapping of genodermatoses: familial leiomyomatosis cutis et uteri; familial malignant melanoma; epidermolysis bullosa; palmoplantar keratoderma; telangiectasia and ichthyosis. New treatments for androgenetic alopecia and alopecia areata. Techniques to measure skin components – skin surface pH, sebum and moisture.
