BIOGRAPHY
Mark R Cullen Academic positions: - Professor of Medicine and Public Health - Director, Occupational and Environmental Medicine Program at Yale University School of Medicine Any industry positions (last five years): - Serves as medical director for Alcoa, Inc, which in turn supports research and service funding to my academic program and in addition Dr Cullen is eligible for a small bonus at the end of the year, as personal income. - Serves on advisory committees for Dupont and the MacArthur Foundation, each paying a modest honorarium. - Consultant for environmental health for the Washington Post group, paying a small retainer and fee for consulting time. - Consults ad hoc to various unions, legal, government and corporate groups on a one-off basis. - Owns a small number of shares in about 40 various companies managed by a third party. Research interests: Occupational asthma due to diisocyanates, chronic beryllium disease, long term consequences of asbestos exposure, and in the social and physical environmental factors which cause health disparities. Particular interest in the relative importance of physical/chemical as opposed to psycho-social causes among workers. Any other information:
