BIOGRAPHY
Antonin Bukovsky is Professor and Director of the Laboratory of Development, Differentiation and Cancer at the University of Tennessee School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and GynecologyProfessor Bukovsky's research focuses on ovarian physiology and follicular renewal in adult mammals, including humans. His group also investigate changes of structural, cellular, and protein expression in aging tissues (ovaries, placenta, pelvic floor disorders). His long-lasting interest belongs to the role of immune system-related cells (tissue macrophages and lymphocytes) in the regulation of tissue physiology and pathology. He is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and is elected Editor-in-Chief of the journal Reproductive Biology and Endocrinology.
