BIOGRAPHY

ACADEMIC POSITIONS:
Medical Director of the Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Program and Director of Cardiac Imaging and of Nuclear Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai.

EDUCATION:
Dr Berman received his medical degree from University of California, San Francisco, and completed residencies in internal medicine and nuclear medicine at University of California, Davis. He also completed a fellowship in cardiology at UC Davis Medical Center.

MEMBERSHIPS/AWARDS:
He serves on national and international committees of a number of professional organizations and their editorial boards (e.g. American Journal of Cardiology, American Heart Journal, American Journal of Physiologic Imaging, Nuclear Medicine Communications, American Journal of Cardiac Imaging, Dynamic Cardiovascular Imaging, Journal of Clinical and Basic Cardiology and Current Cardiology Reviews). He has been awarded numerous grants and continues to lead the specialty of cardiac imaging in generating outcome data for cost-effective analysis of cardiac imaging tests.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Development and validation of clinical applications of cardiac imaging; development of computer-based tools for imaging analysis and interpretation; use of systematic, prospectively designed databases and randomized clinical trials to analyze the impact of information from cardiac imaging studies on health outcomes.
