RESEARCH INTERESTS:
As an obstetric anesthesiologist and a peripartum physician, I integrate medical, anesthetic, obstetric, health system, and social considerations to ensure maternal and perinatal safety, to maximize maternal comfort, and to optimize the birth experience for each patient and her family. My research to date focuses primarily on mechanisms of maternal mortality and obstetric patient safety.
