RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Understanding the impact of psychological and metabolic stresses on the reproductive system and as a cause of infertility, as well as on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of her primary research interests. Another research focus is elucidating the genesis of the aberrant GnRH drive responsible for anovulation in women with PCOS. In addition, she is an investigator for the Women's Health Initiative. More recently, in an effort to better understand the panoply of effects sex steroids have upon brain function, she and her team have begun to define the impact using state-of-the-art neuroimaging techniques. She is also clinically active in treating couples with infertility, women with endocrine disorders, and menopausal women.
