RESEARCH INTERESTS:
His research focuses on the methodological and clinical investigation of coronary calcium detection/progression, and the relationship between the progression of aortic valve and coronary artery calcifications. He is particularly interested in methodological and clinical studies concerning the visualization and characterization of non-calcified coronary atherosclerotic plaque by multislice spiral CT and the use of electron beam CT and multi-slice spiral CT for non-invasive coronary angiography. Also of interest is the validation of image reconstruction methods for 2- and 3-dimensional coronary artery visualization.
