BIOGRAPHY
Martin Bohus is Chair (C4) in Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy at the University of Heidelberg and Director of the Department of Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy at the Central Institute of Mental Health, Mannheim. He is also Associate Professor of the University of Arts at Karlsruhe, Germany.Professor Bohus' current major research focus is psychopathology and treatment development of affective dysregulation in borderline personality disorders, particularly pain perception, emotional learning and dissociative features and trauma related behavior. Bohus has received the Established Investigator Award of the Borderline Personality Disorder Research Foundation, Research Award and Outstanding Research Award from the International Society for the Investigation and Teaching of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Psychotherapy Award of the German Association of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy and Neurology. Professor Bohus has authored over 80 original papers, 45 books and numerous book chapters
