Bellamkonda K. Kishore, M.D., Ph.D., MBA, is a Professor of Medicine (Research) and Physiology (Adjunct), and Principal Investigator at the George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Salt Lake City, Utah. Distinctions earned: Chartered Biologist (CBiol) and Fellow of the Society of Biology (FSB), London, UK; Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN); Silver Heart Premium Professional Member of the American Heart Association; citations in the European Biographical Directory, and Who'sWho in Medicine and Healthcare (USA). Active member of the American Physiological Society, and International Society of Nephrology. Member, Editorial Board of the American Journal of Physiology (Renal Physiology), and Open Urology and Nephrology Journal (Bentham). Expert reviewer/consultant for medical journals published from the USA and Western Europe, and for the US National Institutes of Health, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and private foundations in the USA and UK. Holds international patents to develop innovative therapies for erythropoietin-responsive anemia and water balance disorders.
