BIOGRAPHY
Hanneke Schuitemaker (1964) did her PhD studies at the Sanquin Blood Supply foundation in the Netherlands received her PhD in 1992 on a thesis entitled "Role of HIV-1 monocytotropism in AIDS pathogenesis". In 1998, she became head of the department of Clinical Viro-Immunology at Sanquin. From 2003 to 2004, she was a visiting scientist at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, USA. In 2004, she was appointed professor in Virology at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) of the University of Amsterdam. As of January 2008, she has moved her research group to the AMC where as of January 2008 she is the head of the Department of Experimental Immunology. She received more than 20 research grants, and co-authored over 170 articles in peer reviewed journals.EVALUATIONS
