BIOGRAPHY
Research interests: Translational research related to cardiothoracic anesthesiology and critical care. Oxygen therapeutics (blood substitutes): effect on vascular tone. Pulmonary hypertension and inhaled therapies. Mechanical support of the failing heart. Coagulation and cardiac surgery.Papworth Hospital Critical Care Journal Club, that Dr Vuylsteke chairs, occasionally assist him in preparing his evaluations.
