BIOGRAPHY
ACADEMIC POSITION:Director of the Anesthesia-Intensive Care Department of the Hôpital Necker-Enfants Malades of Paris. Professor Pierre Carli is also the Medical Director of the SAMU (medical emergency service) of Paris.
SOCIETY POSITIONS:
Pierre Carli is present Chairman of the French Resuscitation Council, Vice-President of 'SAMU et Urgences de France', immediate past President of the French Society of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, and he was Chairmen of the ERC 1998-2001.
AWARDS:
In recognition of his multiple outstanding activities, he has been awarded Officer of 'Legion d’Honneur' (2005) by the French President and Commander of National Merit Order (2009).
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
He is an international expert in the area of prehospital care, cardiac arrest, emergency and disaster medicine, and has more than 300 publications.
