BIOGRAPHY
ACADEMIC POSITION:Associate Professor of Pediatrics, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine
EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND:
Patrick Conway, MD, MSc, completed his pediatric residency at Boston Children's Hospital. In 2005-07 he was a hospitalist attending at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Master's degree in health services research. His research there, published in the July 11, 2007 issue of JAMA, found that use of prophylactic antibiotic treatment for children with initial urinary tract infection (UTI) was not associated with reduced risk of recurrent UTI and significantly increased the risk of resistant infections.
