Kaplan-Meier survival curves according to the tricuspid regurgitant jet velocity

The survival rate was significantly higher among patients with a tricuspid regurgitant jet velocity of <2.5 m/s (indicating normal pulmonary artery pressure) than among those with a tricuspid regurgitant jet velocity of at least 2.5 m/s (P < 0.001). Because patients were enrolled over a 20-month period, the first patients enrolled were followed for the entire time.
