BIOGRAPHY

CURRENT AND PREVIOUS ACADEMIC POSITIONS:
Assistant Professor in Endocrinology from 1991 and Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Brescia (Italy) from 2001. Full Professor of Internal Medicine from 2005 and from 2007 has been at the University of Brescia and is currently, head of Endocrine Service, Brescia-Montichiari Hospital.

EDUCATION:
Andrea Giustina graduated in Medicine in 1986, post graduated in Internal Medicine in 1991 and in Endocrinology in 1996.

PUBLICATIONS:
Andrea Giustina has published more than 350 original papers (220 in peer reviewed international journals) in the area of bone metabolism, basic and clinical neuroendocrinology, cardiovascular and skeletal endocrinology and diabetes.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES:
Previously member of the Editorial Board of The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism and Clinical Endocrinology, and is currently Editor of Pituitary and Reviewing Editor of the Journal of Endocrinological Investigation. Andrea Giustina has previously been a member of the Journal managing subcommittee of the Endocrine Society and is currently chairman of the Clinical Initiatives Committee of the Pituitary Society.
