ACADEMIC POSITION:• Associate Professor of Medicine/Infectious Diseases, Medical College of Virginia Campus of Virginia Commonwealth University
• Director Medical Mycology Research Laboratory
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
• Fungal taxonomy (yeasts and moulds) and molecular typing (Candida spp.)
• Antifungal susceptibility testing: standardization, in vitro evaluation of new antifungal agents and commercial methods (susceptibility testing) for both yeasts and moulds
• Fungal identification: Evaluation of new methods
• Reference laboratory for isolates recovered during clinical trials: in vitro susceptibility testing and fungal identification
• Medical history: History of medical mycology
