Dr Shakeel Qureshi is Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist/Head of Service at Evelina Children's Hospital, Guy's & St Thomas Foundation TrustHis special interest are interventional catheterisation, adult congenital heart disease and interventional paediatric cardiology (keyhole surgery techniques). He is the co-inventor of the Tyshak balloon.
In 2004, he was awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz (one of the highest civil awards) by the Pakistan Government for services to Medicine and the PICS Outstanding Achievement award (judged by the profession) in Chicago.
