BIOGRAPHY

Elisabetta Tabolacci is an Associate Faculty Member who works with Faculty Member Giovanni Neri to recommend the scientific literature in their field.

Elisabetta Tabolacci also has responsibility for checking the contents of the following journals to ensure that the highest quality research relevant to their own interests within these publications is comprehensively and systematically evaluated for F1000:

EDUCATION:
Dr Elizabeth Tabolacci graduated in 1999 in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' and completed a specialization in Medical Genetics in 2003 at the Catholic University of Sacro Cuore in Rome. From 2004-2005 she was the winner of the selection, qualifications and tests for the assignment of a grant for cooperation in research activities at the Institute of Medical Genetics, Faculty of Medicine 'A Gemelli.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Her research experience so far has dealt with X-linked mental retardation and fragile X syndrome in particular, through studies of the pharmacological reactivation of the FMR1 gene responsible for the syndrome and epigenetic studies and molecular characterization of the gene.
