Received the Fred Z Eager Research prize and medal for his PhD research work at the University of Queensland
On the Editorial Boards of the journals Autoimmunity and Journal of Experimental Medicine
On the scientific review board of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, New York
Javits Neuroscience Award by the National Institutes of Health in 2002
The first incumbent of the Samuel L Wasserstrom Chair in Neurology at Harvard Medical School
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
The major focus of research in the laboratory is to study the autoimmune T cell response, role of costimulatory molecules and their receptors in the induction and differentiation of T cells and identification of cell surface molecules differentially expressed on T cell subsets.
