BIOGRAPHY

Kristin Sherrard is an Associate Faculty Member who works with Faculty Member Richard Fehon to recommend the scientific literature in their field.

Kristin Sherrard also has responsibility for checking the contents of the following journals to ensure that the highest quality research relevant to their own interests within these publications is comprehensively and systematically evaluated for F1000:

- Current Biology
- Developmental Biology

ACADEMIC POSITION:
Post-doctoral Fellow

EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND:
• BA Linguistics at Hampshire College 1993
• Master’s thesis in Paleobiology with Peter Ward, University of Washington Geology Department (1996-1998)
• Studied Biomechanics with Mike LaBarbera at the University of Chicago
• PhD awarded 2003
• Worked at Friday Harbor Washington
• Post-doc since 2005 at the Center for Cell Dynamics, University of Washington

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Interested in the cellular and mechanical basis for morphogenesis.
