BIOGRAPHY

ACADEMIC POSITION:
Richard and Pauline Klingler Professor of Pediatrics

CURRENT RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Cellular and molecular approaches are combined to elucidate the temporal and spatial emergence of hematopoietic and endothelial cells in the murine embryo in an effort to understand the cell and gene networks required to generate blood vessels and their contents from mesoderm precursors. We are also interested in the biology of circulating and resident endothelial progenitor cells as a source of cells for vessel regeneration in human subjects.
