ACADEMIC POSITION:
Professor of Healthcare Management at Teikyo University Graduate School of Public Health, and Director of Medical Information & System Research Center (MISC), Teikyo University, Tokyo, Japan.

EDUCATION:
BA in economics, MD, DMSc from the University of Tokyo, and MBA from Yale University. Resident in Anesthesia, 1991-94, at Massachusetts General Hospital.

PREVIOUS POSITION:
Former Vice-President, 2002-06, at Teikyo University Ichihara Hospital.

MEMBERSHIPS:
• Diplomate, Japanese Society of Anesthesiologists (1998)
• Affiliate Member, American Society of Anesthesiologists (1996-present)
• Diplomate, American College of Physician Executives (2004)
