BIOGRAPHY

Francesco Savelli is an Associate Faculty Member who works with Faculty Member James Knierim to recommend the scientific literature in their field.

Francesco Savelli also has responsibility for checking the contents of the following journals to ensure that the highest quality research relevant to their own interests within these publications is comprehensively and systematically evaluated for F1000:

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Francesco Savelli works in the Knierim lab which attempts to understand the flow of information through the hippocampal formation and the computations performed by the various subfields of the hippocampus and its inputs from the entorhinal cortex. To address these issues, they use multi-electrode arrays to record the extracellular action potentials from scores of well-isolated hippocampal neurons in freely moving rats.
