Member of the Institute of Plant Sciences (IPW) and served one term as Head of the IPW
One of the founding members of the new Institute of Integrative Biology (IBZ)
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
The Plant Pathology group at the ETH is best known for its research in pathogen population genetics, apple resistance breeding, and biological control of soil-borne pathogens.
Our research spans the spectrum in agriculture, from molecular- to ecosystem-orientation and from mathematical theory to field application. We consider this research breadth to be a strength as it allows us to train students in a cross-disciplinary fashion.
