BIOGRAPHY

Bhawna Halwan is an Associate Faculty Member who works with Faculty Member Atul Kumar to recommend the scientific literature in their field.

• Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology

EDUCATION:
Dr Halwan completed her medical school training at State University of New York at Buffalo, NY in 1995. She completed her gastroenterology fellowship training at Yale University in 2000. After completing her training in gastroenterology, Dr Halwan obtained a Masters in Public Health at Emory University, where she was also an Assistant Professor at the Division of Digestive Division between 2001 and 2004.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr Halwan specializes in capsule endoscopy, esophageal and anorectal manometry, reflux disease, and women's health issues in gastroenterology.
