Dr Guallar is an Associate Editor of Annals of Internal Medicine, American Journal of Epidemiology, Nutrition Journal, and Environmental Health Perspectives.
Dr Guallars work focuses on the epidemiology and prevention of cardiovascular diseases, with a special emphasis on environmental exposures such as heavy metals. He is particularly interested in the role of mercury, arsenic, lead, and cadmium in the development of cardiovascular disease. His methodological interests include the determination of threshold effects in epidemiological studies and the application of statistical methods in epidemiological problems.
Research Interests: Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology, Clinical Epidemiology, Epidemiological Methods.
In the role of Faculty Member, Eliseo Guallar contributes recommendations and reviews to the Epidemiology Section in the Public Health & Epidemiology Faculty, writing brief accessible comments to summarize the value of the articles and adding rating score.
The Faculty comprises Heads of Faculty, Heads of Section, Faculty Members and Associate Faculty Members, as well as an International Advisory Board.
