ACADEMIC POSITION:Yamashita joined the Life Sciences Institute in January 2007 as an Assistant Research Professor and Assistant Professor for the Department of Cell & Developmental Biology at the Medical School, University of Michigan

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr Yamashita is investigating mechanisms how adult stem cells (or tissue-specific stem cells) maintain tissue homeostasis, using the Drosophila male germ line as a model system.
