ACADEMIC INTERESTS:
Critical care; management of sedation and neuromuscular blockade; awareness under anesthesia; shock; circulatory physiology; airway management; acute respiratory distress syndrome; blood transfusion and blood substitutes; patient safety, human factors, and medical accidents; peripheral opiate antagonists, new anesthetic agents, social construction of medicine.
CLINICAL INTERESTS:
Critical care; burns; blood transfusion; liver transplantation.
