BIOGRAPHY

ACADEMIC POSITION:
Dr Ana Recober is an Assistant Professor at University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine, USA.

EDITORIAL/MEMBERSHIPS/AWARDS:
Dr Recober is an ad-hoc reviewer for the journals Cephalalgia and Headache and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Headache Society and Society for Neuroscience. She received the Young Investigator Award for The Sixth International Symposia of the CGRP Family in 2007.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Her research interests include the neurobiology of migraine and other trigeminal mediated pain disorders, the molecular basis of trigeminal pain disorders and the mechanisms of headache progression from episodic to chronic. Her current work focuses on the characterization of the transgenic mouse nestin/hRAMP1 as a model of trigeminal pain disorders as well as the effects of obesity on the progression of migraine.
