ACADEMIC POSITION:Stephen Brickley is a Senior Lecturer in Neuroscience in the Division of Cell and Molecular Biology.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
His laboratory is situated in the Biophysics Section and is exploring the importance of GABAA receptors both for the control of sleep/wake states in the brain and as a key anaesthetic target. Specific projects include:
The control of neuronal excitability
Sleep pathways in the brain
Thalamic relay neuron excitability
