• Professor of Internal Medicine
• Director of the Department of Haematology and Oncology at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg
• Director of the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy, University Clinic Halle

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES:
• Founding Chairman of the Cancer Society of Sachsen-Anhalt
• Member of the advisory board of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO)
• Past Chairman of the Urological Group of the German Cancer Society
