Eric Lam
Department of Plant Science and Plant Pathology, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, USA F1000 Faculty Member (since 14 December 2001)BIOGRAPHY
ACADEMIC POSITION:Professor, Department of Plant Biology and Pathology, School of Environmental and Biological Science, Rutgers University
EDUCATION:
PhD, Biophysics, University of California-Berkeley
BSc, Chemistry, State University New York-Stony Brook
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Fundamentally, my research interests are all related to the basic understanding of how global gene expression in eukaryotes can be utilized to control cellular functions at the molecular level. This seemingly simple goal actually forms the critical link between much of today's research in biology: from the understanding of epigenetic phenomena that determines flower color in plants to cancer diagnosis by DNA chip analysis of global gene expression patterns.
