User comments
Subscribers who have registered and logged in can post a comment on any recommended article in F1000Prime.
We encourage users to make substantive and informed comments on recommended articles. Please respect our Faculty Members and other users of F1000Prime. User comments appear immediately after submission and are not routinely reviewed by F1000Prime. Please help us to maintain the quality of the site by reporting any comments that contravene our User comment terms and conditions, or are otherwise abusive or inappropriate.
All comments are clearly identified with the user's name and affiliation. No pseudonyms or aliases are permitted. Comments should be restricted to the scientific merit of the recommended article.
Comments by authors of recommended articles
Authors of recommended articles from subscribing institutions may comment on any article in F1000Prime as well as their own. If an author does not have subscription access, they will be offered a free 3-month complimentary subscription to allow them to engage with F1000Prime. Author comments, unless otherwise stated, will be assumed to reflect the opinion of all named authors of the original article.
The Faculty Member(s) who made the recommendation will be notified of any author response, and likewise, the author will be notified of any follow-up comment by the Faculty Member. Authors are requested to check a box to identify themselves if they are commenting on their own article, so users can see at a glance who they are.
