This and two related papers, one by Liem et al. {1} and another by Endoh-Yamagami et al. {2}, demonstrate that Kif7, a kinesin-related motor protein, is involved in the mammalian hedgehog pathway. This is noteworthy because it had been unclear whether this homolog of Drosophila Costal2 had this activity.
